A Plymouth woman is accused of bilking over $45,000 in fraudulent welfare funds.

55-year-old Hester Dills is accused of falsely reporting information to the Social Security Administration in order to get SSI benefits.

ABC 57 reports she was previously denied benefits in November of 2005 because her husband made too much money for her to qualify. Six years later, she reported that she was no longer married and living alone, qualifying her illegally for welfare.

Her status was reviewed this past January and she allegedly admitted that she was indeed married and living with her husband since 1996. She was arrested Wednesday and was able to immediately post bond.
