Three charged with murder in August 2014 Bloomingdale shooting

Three from Battle Creek have been arrested over three years after a man was mudered in his Bloomingdale home.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department reports that 40-year-old James Eakins, 42-year-old Amber Roberts, and 32-year-old Brandon Robertson are each charged with homicide open murder and two counts of armed robbery.

They’re allegedly involved in the shooting and killing of 56-year-old Scott Taylor. He was found dead in his Bloomingdale home in the pre-dawn hours of August 21, 2014.

The three were arrested over the course of late January and early February of this year. They’re being held in Van Buren County jail with no bond.
