A Michigan State Police Trooper’s vehicle was struck by a semi while he was driving behind a pair of M-DOT plow trucks Wednesday morning.

The crash happened on I-94 near Mile Marker 31 while the plows were treating the icy roads. After striking the officer’s car, the semi jackknifed, and struck the vehicle a second time.

The trooper suffered minor injuries and was transported to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph for evaluation. The truck driver, an Ohio resident, was not injured.
