Police in Elkhart are still investigating the discovery of a dead body Sunday evening.

The person was found shortly after 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the shed behind a home in the 400 block of West Marion Street. A resident of the home made the discovery.

Police say the death does not appear suspicious and there is no threat to the community.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning to rule out any foul play, but suspicious behavior has been ruled out thus far.
