The summer construction season continues in Michiana. The following is a list of scheduled road closures and restrictions taking place this week:
ON THE U.S. 20 BYPASS:
Watch for lane restrictions and slowdowns near the State Road 19 exit, as well as near County Road 17.
IN SOUTH BEND:
(NEW FOR MON) Watch for restrictions on westbound Colfax Avenue, west of the bridge. (ends late on 7/17)
(NEW) The north side of Colfax Avenue between Michigan and Main Streets is down to one-lane with only eastbound traffic allowed. (ends 8/13)
(NEW) Watch for lane restrictions on South Main Street at Oakside on the city’s south side. (ends 7/17)
Fellows Street is restricted between Bowman Street and Ewing Avenue. (ends 8/16)
Edison remains down to one lane in each direction at Ironwood. Also, Ironwood remains closed at the intersection north of Edison.(ends early 9/2018)
Traffic on Cleveland Road is down to one lane in several spots from Portage Road to State Road 23. (end TBA)
Eddy Street is closed from Napoleon Boulevard to Howard Street for 20 months. St. Vincent Street between Frances Street and Georgiana Avenue is also closed. Detours are set up. (ends late 2019)
IN MISHAWAKA:
(NEW FOR MON) Northbound Main Street is down to one lane between Edison Lakes Parkway and Day Road with delays possible at times.(ends 7/20)
(NEW) Douglas Road has eastbound lane restrictions between Grape Road and Shaughn Street. (ends 7/18)
Liberty Drive is closed on both the north and south sides of Jefferson. Traffic on both east and westbound Jefferson is not affected. (ends TBA)
IN OSCEOLA:
The intersection of Edison and Ash Road is closed through mid-October for road and roundabout construction.
IN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY:

IN ELKHART:
(NEW) A portion of Lexington Avenue is closed at Main Street in downtown Elkhart. Detour using Second Street to Jackson Boulevard. (TFN)
Jackson Blvd is closed from Waterfall Drive to Jr. Achievement Drive for riverfront re-construction. (ends 7/31/2018)
Bridge work is underway on the Toledo Road ramp to eastbound U.S. 20. Be prepared for stopped traffic, at times, in the work zone. Restrictions on the ramp are expected through early fall. (ends 9/30)

§ Hively Avenue, from Prairie Street to Benham Avenue

IN GOSHEN:
US 33 is closed in front of Goshen High School until late September.
Watch for lane restrictions on State Road 15 near the intersection with 3rd Street (ends 11/2018)
IN CASS COUNTY:
Watch for crews repaving U.S. 12 in Edwardsburg. Work is being done from West Village to M-52. Flaggers are directing traffic at times. (ends 8/15)
IN LAPORTE COUNTY:
(NEW) Watch for lane restrictions along U.S. 6 in LaPorte and Porter Counties, between State Road 39 and State Road 49. Resurfacing is underway. The project will end in October. During construction, flaggers will direct one lane of traffic around where work is being done.
(NEW) U.S. 35 is closed from Verma Drive to Pawnee Trail between LaPorte and Michigan City for up to three weeks. Southbound drivers can detou using U.S. 20. Northbound drivers can detour using State Road 39. (ends 7/30)
IN KOSCIUSKO COUNTY:
Resurfacing on U.S. 30 is underway through the towns of Larwill and Pierceton. Traffic will be down to 45 miles per hour and drivers are cautioned to watch for lane restrictions and possible stopped vehicles at times. (ends 9/2018)
IN MARSHALL COUNTY:
U.S. 31 is reduced to one lane in each direction near Plymouth in Marshall County for paving work.
IN PULASKI COUNTY:
(NEW) State Road 39, just south of North Judson, is closed between CR W. 500 N. and CR W. 400 N until early October for a bridge replacement.
All lanes of U.S. 421, north of Medaryville, are closed through early September. Crews will be replacing the bridge deck for the structure over a ditch north of County Road 200 North.
