Ritz Cracker recall prompted by concerns over salmonella

(95.3 MNC)

The company that makes Ritz Crackers issued a voluntary recall Saturday on a number of their products.

Certain Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and Ritz Bits snacks contain a whey powder that may be tainted with salmonella. The powder’s manufacturer has also recalled its product. Affected products include Ritz Bits Cheese and certain Ritz Cracker sandwiches, including those contained in a variety pack with other products.

There have been no complaints of illness related to the product, but the recall has been issued as a precaution.

A complete list of the affected products can be found here.
