It was anything but quiet Tuesday night, Sep. 11, and Wednesday morning, Sep. 12, in Benton Harbor, with four people injured in three separate shooting incidents.
Deputy Director of Police Services Mike Clark says the first two incidents happened shortly before midnight, within minutes of each other.
The first report of gunshots was at a home in the 1000 block of Bishop Avenue, where a 28 year-old man was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
Minutes later police were called to Lakeland Hospital, where a 29 year-old male was suffering from a serious gunshot wound after an incident on Jennings Avenue.
During the investigation of the first two shootings, police heard gunshots on Empire Avenue.
Two victims were shot multiple times. One of the victims was listed in critical condition.
Detectives from the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety, Benton Township Police, St. Joseph City Department of Public Saety, St. Joseph Township Police, Berrien County Sheriffs Department, Michigan State Police and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force are actively investigating all three of the incidents.
There were 3 long guns and a handgun recovered during this investigation.
There is no suspect information available at this time.
It is currently unknown if these incidents are related.
