Suspect in armed robbery at Dollar General store in South Bend arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of committing an armed robbery at the Dollar General store on South Michigan Street in South Bend.

The heist happened just after 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The suspect, Joshua Blount, approached the cash registers, then flashed a gun and demanded cash, ABC 57 reported.

South Bend Police and Mishawaka Police arrested Blount on Friday.
