Police: Man shot by his brother during domestic dispute in Elkhart

A man was shot, allegedly by his brother, during a domestic dispute in Elkhart.

Elkhart Police were called to the corner of 11th St. and Wolf Avenue around 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, where they found a 35-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his left arm and leg.

Medics transported the victim to the Elkhart General Hospital for non-life threatening wounds. There were no other victims as a result of the incident.

Officers were able to determine that the incident took place inside a home in the 1700 block of S. 11th St.

The incident appears to be the result of a domestic altercation between family members.

Officers located an adult male suspect that is believed to be the victim’s brother. The suspect is in police custody at this point.
