The first medical marijuana shop in Michiana is open for business.

Zen Leaf, on East Front Street in Buchanan, has become the first pot shop to open its doors in the area.

The medical marijuana provisioning center set up a special grand opening event on Saturday, May 18, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Before Zen Leaf, the closest provisioning centers, or dispenseries, in our area were in Bangor or Portage, Michigan, ABC 57 reported.

The grand opening also offered patient registration, education booths, giveaways, musical entertainment. and snacks.
