Two men have been found guilty of distributing heroin in South Bend.

Jerry Harris, 38, of South Bend and David Gibson, 47, of Chicago were found guilty on Thursday, Sep. 19, following a four-day jury trial.

In March of last year, they were indicted for conspiracy to distribute heroin.

In an earlier case, several individuals who sold heroin for Harrison and Gibson pleaded guilty; some have been sentenced and others are still awaiting sentencing.

Undercover law enforcement officers purchased heroin from them on 28 separate occasions between March and October 2017.

Harris and Gibson are scheduled to be sentenced on January 30, 2020. Both face a minimum of ten years to life in prison.
