South Bend will be getting a Montessori High School next fall.

The new school will welcome 9th grade students for the 2020-2021 school year.

WSBT reports that there are less than 40 Montessori High Schools in the entire country. The South Bend area is served by three Montessori Grade Schools. The school will lease the education wing of the First Presbyterian Church on West Colfax, which had been used as a preschool. Renovations begin this month to prepare the space for the high school.
