Traffic safety improvements at the Concord Schools target speeders

(Photo supplied/Elkhart Truth)

Concord School administrators are installing school zone safety signs at their schools…

The district has 18 of the signs, and WSBT reports they are designed to prevent speeding. The signs are designed to use flashing lights and radar to indicate when people are driving too fast during pick up and drop off times.

Police officers from the Concord Schools say they will not be afraid to issue tickets in those school zones, and they invite other local law enforcement to do the same.

Additional signs will be installed in the coming weeks.
