The South Shore Line says it’s taking steps to prevent an appearance by the coronavirus.

The popular train line is increasing the frequency and intensity of its cleaning efforts. The South Shore says CDC-approved sanitizers and disinfectants are being used that show at least a 24-hour potency in fighting the virus.

They are also encouraging passengers to wash their hands appropriately, and have reminded their own staff of the importance of proper hygiene.
