Congressman Jim Banks introduced a bill this week aimed at warning consumers about using apps that are controlled by enemy regimes.

Banks says Americans are spending more time online and connecting virtually, and his bill would warn consumers before they download an app from countries that pose a national security risk.

The Department of Defense has warned people not to use Tik Tok, from China, for the same reason.
