It’s almost time to apply for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2021-2022 school year, and College Goal Sunday can help.

Financial professionals from all across Indiana will be volunteering to help college-bound students and their families apply for financial aid during College Goal Sunday, which is set for October 25.

Now in its 32nd year, College Goal Sunday has helped more than 94,000 Indiana students complete FAFSA properly and on time. Students must file for FAFSA by April 15 to be eligible for Indiana financial aid.

This year, the event is completely virtual. To attend, simply visit CollegeGoalSunday.org on October 25 at 2 p.m. and click the link displayed on the page to enter the virtual event. Working from a computer/laptop is recommended.

Students and their parents/guardians should bring completed 2019 IRS 1040 tax returns, W-2 Forms and other 2019 income and benefits information. Students who worked last year should also bring their income information.

Students are encouraged to apply for their U.S. Department of Education FSA IDs at studentaid.gov before logging in to the event.

Every student who attends College Goal Sunday and submits a completed evaluation form will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of five $1,000 scholarships. The winners will be notified in April.
