Chicago Bears cancel practice over possible COVID outbreak

The Chicago Bears suspended practice Thursday and sent players home amid a potential breakout of COVID-19 within the team.

The NFL Network reports the team’s Center, Cody Whitehair, has tested positive. Offensive Tackle Jason Spriggs tested positive on Tuesday, and another player was said to be a high-risk close contact.

It’s not known yet what impact, if any, this will have on the team’s scheduled game this weekend with the Titans, another team that has had to deal with coronavirus issues.
