Governor Whitmer’s restrictions on indoor social gatherings

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has issued a new emergency order enacing a three-week pause targeting indoor social gatherings and other group activities beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18. With the order, indoor residential gatherings are limited to two households at any one time.

The new restrictions, announced by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, limit bars and restaurants to outdoor dining, carry-out and delivery only.

It also orders high schools and colleges to end in-person classes and switch to remote learning. Professional and college sports may continue without spectators, however all other organized sports must stop. Gyms can remain open for individual workouts, but group exercise classes must end.

The video of her announcement is below:

The traitor needs to be arrested for crimes against the people. She has no authority to make law! The people need to ignore her en masse. This is not about a bunch virus, this is about power and control! Wake up people!

People ARE dying, but look on the bright side: COVID has all but cured the flu, and a myriad of other ailments. Nobody dies from anything except COVID anymore.

Some people don’t realize the affects across the world and she is NOT the only person who made this decision. Look across the world to see executive orders in them as well as our own country. People here in Michigan that are in prison arw getting it and dying as well as retirement homes. Smh

We have utter dumkopfs running things. Here is the first paragraph of an article I read today:

“The New England Journal of Medicine has published a study that goes to the heart of the issue of lock-downs. The question has always been whether and to what extent a lock-down, however extreme, is capable of suppressing the virus. If so, you can make an argument that at least lock downs, despite their astronomical social and economic costs, achieve something. If not, nations of the world have embarked on a catastrophic experiment that has destroyed billions of lives, and all expectation of human rights and liberties, with no payoff at all.”

The bottom line?? Lock-downs have no payoff at all except for the tyrants who wish to control us minute by minute.

Does anyone have any idea why Whitmer so hates Michiganders? They have done nothing wrong. Why punish them? Is it strictly an abusive love of power, or something else?

The #Michigan Supreme Court ALREADY ruled that #Governor Gretchen #Whitmer (Dumbass) does NOT have the authority to continue the state of emergency in Michigan. The court said neither the Emergency Management Act from 1976 nor the Emergency Powers of the Governor Act from 1945 dictate how states of emergency are declared and handled in Michigan, and that Whitmer DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER to continue the state of emergency under EITHER law. Therefore, Whitmer did NOT have the authority to extend her initial state of emergency past April 30, when it was set to expire. Whitmer had extended the state of emergency to the end of April by executive order after the Republican-led state legislature moved forward with a bill PREVENTING her from renewing the original declaration during the #coronavirus ‘pandemic’. “We conclude that the Governor lacked the authority to declare a ‘state of emergency’ or a ‘state of disaster’ under the EMA after April 30, 2020, on the basis of the #COVID ‘pandemic’. Furthermore, we conclude that the EPGA is in VIOLATION of the Constitution of our state because it purports to delegate to the executive branch the legislative powers of state government— including its plenary police powers— and to allow the exercise of such powers indefinitely,” wrote Justice Stephen Markman in the majority opinion. “As a consequence, the EPGA CANNOT continue to provide a basis for the Governor to exercise emergency powers,” he added.

People are dying of COVID, but nobody is dying of the flu anymore. Or heart attacks. Or old age.

Nope, it’s all COVID, all the time. You better go wash your hands, you might have caught a computer virus from your keyboard!

I’ve read all of the comments above…the bottom line is God is money.. money is God ….The selfish don’t want restrictions because they care about themselves period and they are self centered vein upper class robots … I personally didn’t think much of any of it until I lost 2 very close friends to the virus all the money in the world won’t save you from it if you get it and are put on life support …The governor has a job too do if you big mouth ass munches think you can do better run for office….Have blessed holiday stay safe …

I’ve lost friends to car accidents. They’d still be alive if we had a nationwide 20MPH speed limit on all roads. That would save literally millions of lives!

Does that sound like a good plan to you? Or is it possible that the tradeoff simply is not worth it overall…

The words have been spoken basically that’s what I was trying to say but you said it correctly it is so true the rich don’t want to stay home the ones are complaining they must be middle class people that are afraid that they won’t have a penny in their bank tomorrow the truth of it those people that are running their mouths bashing their governor is not going to matter cuz if they get it because we are not in lockdown they don’t have to worry about their bank account they going to be dead too the governor just needs to do her job that’s why we voted her in I wish we thought she can make decisions for Michigan that we can’t make I think she’s doing what needs to be done I think she needs to do a little more I think we need to be going to a 34-day lockdown in this state only one way to get this under control everybody stay home business is shut down no bills paid for the month nobody owes nobody for nothing for 30 days and I bet you the cases go from high to almost none and I wish she would do it just to see if the ones that don’t care about the lockdown is correct. And if the people that don’t care about the lockdown are right all these dumb people they’re on here running their mouths about the governor look even more stupider than they did before they left their comment.

It’s interesting how those who are against Governor Whitmer’s orders are mostly men. All of you man babies obviously feel your egos are threatened by an intelligent, competent woman in power. The coronavirus is KILLING people. If it weren’t for our governor we would all be dead by now! If all of you are not afraid of that why don’t you voluntarily infect yourselves and see what happens. Those of us with common sense would be more than happy with the results.

So the fact that we have a difference of opinion is pure sexism? You might be that shallow, but you shouldn’t assume that everyone else is that shallow as well.

It’s amusing that in your attempt to smear men with charges of sexism, you yourself became a sexist.

Like I said, Charles, if you want to get infected with Covid and die that’s fine with me, but you and the other whiners are not going to infect me or other innocent people. It is a basic tenet of government that rights are relative not absolute. Your personal freedoms do not give you the right to endanger other people’s lives. What is so difficult about complying with limiting social gatherings anyway? Obviously you don’t value your friends very much. And, yes, if the speed limits on the roads were reduced in an effort to prevent accidental deaths and consequently the pain and suffering of the deceased loved ones or valued friends, then it would be worth it in my book.
