A man wanted out of Elkhart was arrested Friday on unrelated charges.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle along U.S. 20 after an officer noticed the driver commit a traffic infraction.
While doing a registration check, the officer noticed the driver, Jefferey Wade, 32, was wanted in Elkhart County.
ABC 57 News reports the officer then searched Wade’s vehicle and found a loaded 9mm Taurus pistol in the glovebox.
Wade was arrested and booked in the La Porte County Jail where he’s being held on a $20,005 cash-only bond.
He faces one charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, a level 4 felony.

Why are serious violent felons allowed to walk among the citizenry again? If they can’t be trusted to properly exercise their full constitutional rights they shouldn’t be free period.
