Benton Harbor accepting applications for recreational marijuana permits

The City of Benton Harbor is now accepting applications for recreational marijuana permits.

Beginning today, potential growers, processors and retailers can apply for adult-use permits. This comes after city commissioners approved an amendment to their zoning ordinance.

The ordinance now allows retailers to be in central business districts, with a maximum of six allowed in Benton Harbor.

ABC 57 News reports NOBO Michigan has purchased a vacant building on Water Street, and plans to turn it into a recreational marijuana dispensary. The company already has a medical marijuana facility in town.
