Drones have been brought in to help with the search for the body of a man who was swept off the pier at Silver Beach on Sunday.

Police are still searching the coastline but have found no trace of the 27 year-old St. Joseph man, who disappeared while being rescued with a flotation device. His name has not been released but a social media post from nearby Silver Beach Pizza earlier this week said they were mourning “a long time employee.”

His drowning is the first such incident in St. Joseph this year. Divers were unable to search the lake on Wednesday due to bad weather.
