Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey has announced he will not seek another term as the county’s top cop.

He’s been sheriff for more than two decades, but it’s not like he’s leaving anytime soon.

Bailey has three-and-a-half years to go before her term is up.

When that time comes, he’ll be 69 years old. He says he wants to take time to enjoy life and travel before he gets too old to do so, according to Leader Publications.

He also says he plans to continue to live in Berrien County and do volunteer work.
