A man in Elkhart is in the hospital after an afternoon shooting.

According to WSBT, police were called to the 1300 block of Benham Avenue, just after 4:00 p.m., where a 19-year-old was shot.

The man was taken to a hospital in South Bend with life-threatening injuries.

A 15-year-old boy suspected in the shooting was arrested shortly afterward.
