An Elkhart man has received two 25-year prison terms after admitting to burglary and drug charges.

Neil Jariett’s sentences will be served simultaneously, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Police arrested Jariett on the drug charges after getting a call, back in March, to an Elkhart hotel where a man reportedly cornered a maid and asked if she wanted to buy meth.

Officers found his hotel room unlocked and found him inside, along with 25 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia.

The burglary charge was connected to a January heist at a home on Ash Road.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of items being taken from a garage by two men who were captured on security camera.

Jariett was armed with a shotgun and police say he admitted to being the person in the security footage when a detective confronted him.

He was arrested in May on that charge.
