Man sentenced for Goshen beating and robbery

It’s 12 years in prison for a man involved in the brutal beating of a man during a robbery last year in Goshen.

27-year-old Kevin Evans apologized to the victim during his sentencing hearing.

He’s one of three people involved in the April 2020 attack on the man was beaten, then forced to take his pants off and climb into a dumpster while the suspects got away.

The robbery stemmed from an argument between a woman and the man, because he wouldn’t delete some photos of her that he had on his phone.

Evans, along with Tyrice Edmonson and La Necia Sharp-Taylor were all charged in the incident.

Sharp-Taylor admitted to a robbery charge and received a 9 year sentence. Edmonson was arrested in July and is set for trial in January.
