A 72-year-old Rochester man was killed in a crash on U.S. 31 in Fulton County.

The collision happened around 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon.

Investigators say a vehicle driven by 72-year-old James Rans was traveling northbound on Old U.S. 31, then crossed U.S. 31 and was struck by another vehicle.

A third vehicle was also struck.

Rans vehicle rolled on its side leaving him partially ejected. He died at the scene.

Investigators are saying he failed to yield the right of way and he was not wearing a seatbelt.

A passenger from one of the other vehicles was taken to a local hospital.
