The eight students who have sued Indiana University over its COVID vaccination mandate have filed an opening brief with the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals
At issue is IU’s requirement that all students, faculty, and staff to receive COVID vaccinations before they could return to campus for the fall semester with stringent exemptions for those with religious or medical reasons.
In June, the students filed the federal lawsuit and a motion for preliminary injunction, which was denied.
Students appealed and that was dismissed. With their most recent filing, the constitutional challenge against IU’s vaccine mandate continues.

“IU moved to dismiss the appeal, because they claimed that the students now lacked standing to sue since class at IU had started,”
The whole notion of “no standing” after a deadline has passed needs to go away. First it was SCOTUS in the 2020 election fraud and now this with the vax mandates. It’s literally like saying “we already spent the money, so you can’t prosecute for theft”. It’s absurd.
