Boy, 17, found dead in alley in Benton Harbor, police call death “suspicious”

A 17-year-old boy was found dead in an alley in Benton Harbor.

Police were called around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, to the 100 Block of Parker Street for a welfare check of a person laying in the alley.

Upon arrival officers discovered the boy dead by suspicious means.

Officers processed the scene with the assistance of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department. The teenager’s body was taken to Kalamazoo for an autopsy and cause of death determination.
