Goshen man pleads guilty to drug possession, child endangerment

A Goshen man has admitted to drug possession and an aggravated charge of child endangerment.

39-year-old Jeriman Resendez has pleaded guilty to dealing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and neglect of a dependent in exchange for a 20-year prison cap.

Resendez was arrested in March along with 35-year-old Amanda Cruea. The couple had been under investigation after police received a tip about alleged drug dealing.

Investigators found more than one pound of meth and 54 grams of marijuana, as well as packaging, paraphernalia and a loaded gun, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth. There were also four young children in the home.

Resendez will be sentenced in November. The woman also pleaded guilty and will learn her fate in late October.
