One person injured in Elkhart shooting

A shooting in Elkhart leaves one person injured.

Police were called to the area near Eden Street shortly after 12:30 Saturday morning.

There officers found a victim with blood running down the back of their neck. The victim told police he was in the 1200 block of South Main Street when he drove down an alleyway.

He then turned onto Eden Street when he saw a minivan pull up behind him.

According to ABC-57, the suspect got out of the van and allegedly opened fire, hitting the victim in the back of the head.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.
