Notre Dame names Freeman as their 30th Head Football Coach

The University of Notre Dame named defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman as their 30th Head Coach in program history.

Freeman will be introduced on Monday during a press conference at 2:00 p.m.

The school also announced that Freeman will coach the Irish in their upcoming bowl game.

35-year-old Marcus Freeman becomes just the second African-American head coach in the schools 133-year history. He also becomes the youngest head coach of the program since Terry Brennan (25) in the 1950’s.
