A mistrial has been declared in a case against a man accused of murdering an Indianapolis woman with strong family ties to Elkhart in 2015.

Larry Jo Taylor Junior was facing murder, robbery, and criminal confinement charges for the death of Amanda Blackburn, who was killed inside her house in Indianapolis.

Blackburn was pregnant at the time, though Taylor is not facing charges for the death of Blackburn’s unborn baby, which is why a mistrial was declared.

Blackburn is the daughter of Phil Byars, pastor of First Baptist Church in Elkhart.

Two others accused in the case, Jalen Watson and Diano Gordon, accepted plea agreements.

“a women”

Seriously? Send your articles to me, I’ll proofread them for you.

I remember this story. What Taylor did was inhumane, absolutely terrible. If guilty, he deserves a painful end. Vivisection would be a fitting choice. One pound a day carved off for the rest of his life, starting at the extremities.
