There will be budget cuts at Goshen Community Schools.

In a video released on its YouTube page recently, Goshen Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Steven Hope said they have been negatively affected by a drop in enrollment, changing school schedules, COVID, and other economic uncertainties.

The school board is currently working on a long-term plan and identifying the appropriate “cost-cutting” measures to take.

Less than 4 years ago, Goshen got both of its referendums passed and was rolling in the dough. Now here we are with them having to make big cuts? Cry me another river.

Maybe you guys shouldn’t have blown $10 million on a SWIMMING POOL in 2015? Or all the other stupid spending that has nothing to do with giving your students an education? You’d have plenty of money if you didn’t keep wasting it all. You’re like the drunk uncle who is always borrowing money to make rent, but who never seems to run out of beer, cigarettes, or lottery scratchers.

Make no mistake: this “shortage” is just a set up for another referendum. No matter how much money we shovel at public education, it will never be enough…
