A woman from Chicago was arrested on the Indiana Toll Road when state troopers discovered a pound of pot and a pistol in her car.

The arrest happened late Saturday night, Feb. 12.

Two Indiana State Police troopers pulled over a 2016 Nissan for several violations west of the Middlebury exit.

When one of the troopers talked to the driver, 30-year-old Natalie Garcia, he smelled marijuana in her car.

They searched the car and found several plastic bags full of what they believe is marijuana. They also found a loaded pistol.

Garcia is charged with dealing pot, and possession of a handgun without a license.
