Ford recalls 250,000+ super duty trucks

Ford is recalling nearly a quarter of a million of their popular heavy-duty pickups. The recall covers specific F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups with drive shafts that can fracture and cause a loss of power.

The model years affected are 2017 through 2022, with gas engines and aluminum drive shafts. Heat and noise insulators under the body have come loose and made contact with the drive shaft. This could also cause the vehicles to roll if they are stopped without the parking brake engaged.

Dealers will notify customers and inspect the trucks, with letters going out by April 4.
