A project on LaSalle Avenue has been extended an extra week.

AEP crews have been installing an underground transmission line, which has had LaSalle closed since last Monday.

LaSalle has been closed at Sycamore Street with business access, but crews have encountered unforeseen underground utility issues. So the project, which was supposed to be finished on Friday, will now keep that stretch of road closed through this coming Sunday.

Detours for both westbound and eastbound traffic will stay the same as they were last week.
