Dozens of beef jerky brands are being recalled in eight states, including Michigan.
The U-S Food and Drug Administration reports at least 70 types of jerky made by Boyd Specialties in California were yanked from shelves nationwide after tests found they were likely contaminated with listeria.
The recalled beef was made on February 23 and includes the brands Bacon Mamma Jamma, Durbin Farms Market, Gold Mine Jerky and Jerked Out. Symptoms of listeria infection include muscle aches, headaches and gastrointestinal problems.
If you own any of the recalled jerky, throw it away immediately or contact the location you purchased it from for a refund.
