Police in Michigan City have made an arrest in connection with a robbery at a vape shop last week.

The robbery happened last Thursday, March 3, at the Smoke and Vape Shop on Franklin Street.

When officers arrived, they were told that an employee was hurt after being hit on the head, and that the suspect took the cash.

Officers eventually identified the suspect as Avery Smith, 32, of Michigan City.

Smith was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including robbery.

He’ll be in court Tuesday.
