Benton Township bank robbery suspect arrested in South Bend

A suspected bank robbery in Benton Township has been arrested.

The Huntington Bank on Pipestone Road was robbed back on February 23.

Investigators say the suspect got away with money after stating he had a gun and threatening to kill everybody.

A second suspect drove the getaway vehicle.

Benton Township police received several tips and were able to identify a 51-year-old Benton Harbor man as the suspect.

He was arrested in South Bend and awaits an indictment on a charge of bank robbery.
