A mistrial has been declared in the murder trial of a man who opened fire, killing another man inside University Park Mall.

The jury deliberated for 2.5 hours on Thursday, March 24, and determined they would not be able to reach an unanimous verdict.

Dazhon Howard is charged with murder for the shooting death of  the Delaney Crosby at the Mall in back in September 2020.

Howard’s attorney insisted Crosby was shot in self-defense because Crosby was typically armed. Prosecutors say Howard shot Crosby as he was walking away from him.

A status hearing for Howard is now set for mid-April.

True but there’s still a dead child left to bury do he pay for the funeral cost?

“typically armed”

So we are allowed to shoot people in self defense because we can just ASSUME they have a gun? SWEET! Up until now, I’ve been laboring under the delusion that you need to see the weapon before you can shoot. I guess the rules are different for some people…
