Alleged heroin and fentanyl dealer arrested in South Bend

An alleged heroin and Fentanyl dealer was taken into custody following alleged drug purchases made by two police informants.

The police department’s Strategic Focus Unit was investigating Lathier Thompson, who they say sold more than 3 grams, which tested positive for fentanyl during controlled drug buys in March and April at his home in the 1400 block of Van Buren Street.

During a search of the home, investigators found digital scales, a gun, pill press, and packages of pot.

Thompson was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing narcotics drug and unlawful possession of a firearm by serious violent felon, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.
