Charges have been filed in a deadly double shooting that happened last month at LaSalle Park Homes.
It was back on May 14th when John Parnell Thomas and his girlfriend, Annaliese Matson, drove to the 3700 block of West Jefferson.
Prosecutors allege it was there there that Thomas got into a fight with Eric Johnson.
The argument led to shots being exchanged between the two men.
Johnson died after being struck in the heart and lugs.
Thomas drove off and, around 15 minutes later, he called 911 to report a woman was in a car in the 1100 block of Cedar Street with a gunshot wound.
Officers arrived to find Matson dead from a gunshot wound.
Thomas faces one count of murder with a firearm enhancement in connection with Johnson’s death. If convicted, he could receive up to 85 years in prison.
The investigation into Matson’s death is still underway.

Just another shooting in the safe city of South Bend. That place turns ugly after dark and the criminals shoot each other for the slightest thing.
