A woman is accused of beating her acquaintance with a frying pan.

It happened on September 7, when Mishawaka police were called to the 500 block of 4th street on reports of a man who was badly beaten.

The victim, a 61-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with a broken arm and ribs.

He told police that the suspect, Mariah Conn-Wilhelm, texted him, telling him that she feared for her safety.

He says he went to her apartment and that’s when she hit him with a frying pan.

ABC 57 News reports that Conn-Wilhelm called her friend to come over and the two tied up the victim, put a ball gag in his mouth, and beat him for several hours.

The victim says he was held at gun point by Conn-Wilhelm and forced to write a check.

Police say that Conn-Wilhelm admitted to attacking the victim.

She faces charges of criminal confinement resulting in serious bodily injury, armed robbery, robbery resulting in bodily injury, battery resulting in serious bodily injury, intimidation, neglect of a dependent and possession of methamphetamine.
