Upgrades could be coming to Benton Harbor beach/park

Upgrades could be coming to Jean Klock Park in Benton Harbor.

The Herald-Palladium reports that city leaders are applying for $684,000 to make improvements to the playground and restrooms.

The money comes from a Spark grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

If approved, the money will be allocated by Dec. 31, 2024, and spent by Dec. 31, 2026.
