It was just before 11 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, when dispatch received a shooting with injuries call in the 700 block of Concord Ave.

Elkhart Police Department officers dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter. Upon arrival, officers observed a male suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s) outside of the residence.

The victim, a 15 year old male, was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

While at the scene, a second male presented at Elkhart General Hospital with apparent gunshot wound(s). This second victim, identified as Alexis Jackson, 34 years old of Elkhart, was also subsequently pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is handing the investigation.
