An employee at Miller’s Health and Rehab is facing charges after allegedly stealing wedding rings from sleeping residents.

25-year-old Macy Blake of Michigan City has been charged with level 3 Felony Robbery and three counts of level 6 Felony Robbery.

Court documents say the alleged thefts began in January and that four rings were stolen from three residents over the court of three weeks.

One resident reported having two rings removed on separate occasions, and another had a ring stolen that was given to her by her grandmother.

Reports say Blake was caught in the act when a victim woke up to Blake attempting to take a wedding band off her finger.

Each ring had an estimated value of over $1000, though Blake allegedly sold them to a pawn shop.

According to authorities, Blake could face up to 12 years in prison for robbery as well as up to 30-month sentences for each of the three theft counts.
