Goshen City Council sets enforcements, fines, penalties for illegal dumping of items at recycling center

The Goshen City Council has set enforcement, fines and penalties for anybody caught illegally dumping items at the city’s new recycling center.
The recycling center, located on Indiana Avenue between the railroad tracks and Wilden Aveune, is the city’s only site, after the county closed all of its locations because of people abusing the service.
The site is monitored with video cameras that can clearly display license plates.
The Goshen News reports the ordinance calls for up to $500 in fines per offense, based on a first, second or third time infraction for people who dump anything besides the approved materials in the dumpsters.
