Goshen man, 43, arrested after leading police on alcohol-fueled pursuit

A Goshen man was arrested after allegedly leading police on an alcohol-fueled chase.

Oscar Dagoberto Alvarado, 43, was stopped for a traffic infraction around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sep. 3, near the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Plymouth Avenue.

According to a police report, Alvarado led officers on a vehicle pursuit until he came to a stop in the 400 block of Plymouth Avenue.

He was found to be under the influence after an investigation was completed.

He provided a preliminary breath test sample resulting in a reading of .145BrAC. He refused a certificated test and was taken to the Elkhart County Jail where he was incarcerated for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, operating while intoxicated, and never obtaining a license.
