Man has arm amputated after Elkhart County crash

A man lost an arm after a crash in Elkhart County.

Police say the 62 year-old had to have his right arm amputated following the crash early Thursday morning at the intersection of County Roads 42 and 17.

The victim was driving a Chevy that was headed north on 17 when it was hit by a Subaru travelling east on 42. The Chevy rolled over and the driver was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Subaru, a 28 year-old man, was uninjured.
