Stolen vehicle crosses state line; suspect arrested

A man was taken to the hospital after crashing a stolen vehicle that had crossed state lines.

The South Bend Police spotted and attempted to stop a suspect in a stolen vehicle Thursday afternoon shortly before 4:30. The driver crossed the state line into Niles, crashing with a vehicle on South 11th Street. He then lost control and hit a traffic sign before running from the scene.

He was tased and eventually arrested. There were no other injuries reported.
